New Shapes: 3 more machining conditions are now available
Three machining conditions such as “distance between hole and bend” have been improved. The shapes that can be handled by meviy have been further expanded.
From 11 June 2021, meviy FA sheet metal parts service has improved three machining conditions such as “minimum distance between hole and bend”. Shapes that could not be quoted by meviy in the past can now be quoted automatically.
• Three machining conditions "minimum distance between hole and bend" have been improved, reducing automatic quotation errors
• More design options, such as matching the shape of the opposite part
What machining conditions have been improved?
In the past, meviy’s machining limits were too strict which sometimes caused quotation errors, and also led you to request the same drawing to other CNC shops.
This time, we have relieved the machining limits, focusing on the top 3 demands by our customers:
1. Minimum distance between slotted/rectangular holes and bend
2. Minimum distance between hole and edge/between holes
3. Minimum diameter of through holes and minimum width of slotted and rectangular holes

Production example
For example, when designing such sensor bracket, it was previously not possible to bring the slotted hole close to the bend because of the strict minimum distance requirements between the slotted hole and the bend.
However, with the relieve of the conditions, the slotted hole can be brought closer to the bend. This means that the sensor position can now be adjusted closer to the mounting surface.

If you want to make the minimum distance between the hole and the bend even closer, you can also make an opening on the bend line.
